The lake of the upper sea (also Obersee, Järveküla lake, Lake Mõigu, Kuningajärv) is located in the south-eastern part of the city of central city of Tallinn. The area of the lake is 9.6 km2, depth up to 6 meters. The third natural lake after Peipsi and Võrtsjärv (the third former Mullutu-Suurlaht has been divided into smaller parts) is located in Estonia. The upper lake becomes Tallinn water from the 14th century.
