Lielupe is the largest river of Zemgale, the second largest river of Latvia in terms of the pipe [required reference] (except Daugava). The depth of the river at the top is about 1 m, downwards of Jelgava — 8-12 m, downstream — 15-20 m. Lielupe is only 119 km long, but it has 250 pierces. [required reference] In the territory of the city of Jelgava, its fall into the city by Driksa. The coasts are many grown up.
